About Us

We are in the Mining Industry ever since its inception six decades ago and our mining activities included prospecting of Iron Ore, Manganese Ore and Bauxite Ore. The man behind the successful growth of our mining activities was late Mr. Shantilal Khushaldas Gosalia, the Founder and the Pioneer of the Gosalia Group of Companies.

Over the past two years, we have been concentrating on mining of Bauxite Ore from our mines locates ion South Goa (India), with an estimated deposit of 70 million tonnes of various grades. Our ore is being used by Aluminum Companies, Cement Manufacturers and Alum/Chemical Industries in India.

Apart from our indigenous clientele, whose off-take figures run into large quantities, we have, so far, exported Bauxite Ore to U.A.E., Japan, Europe, Hong Kong, Ukraine and lately to Iran.

Our exports are handled through the Port of Mormugao, Goa, India, which is one of the largest ports in India and a natural harbour. The distance from our mines to this port, by road, is about 55 kilometers. We are also nearer to Karwar Port, which is situated on the Goa Karnataka border and the distance from our mines to Karwar port is about 57 kilometers. The major two rivers of Goa, that is, Mandovi and Zuari meet the Arabian Sea and by virtue of this, our mines are in the proximity of the Arabian Sea. At the Port of Mormugao, we can load 40,000 tonnes to 60,000 tonnes at the berth provided the vessel is grab-fitted.

Unlike the situation that existed in the yesteryears, our mines are fully mechanized and we are fully equipped with various types of modern machineries like Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Wagon Drill, Dumpers, Vibrating Screens, Crushers, Conveyor Belts, etc., with a team of skilled personnel operating the machineries and with the facilities available at our disposal, we can produce large quantities of Bauxite Ore in the shortest possible time to cater to the needs of the end-product industries over the globe. Our deposits are homogeneous and gibbsetic ore requiring low temperature for digestion.
