It is thermal [ HEAT ] exchange unit that helps to reduce heating costs by retaining existing heat. It has large potential of saving fuel cost for the fired equipment. The heating surface of the system is provided with adequate margin for fouling on exhaust gas side. This ensure that heat recovery is not affected by soot accumulation on tubes within reasonable limits. It is designed for pressure drop on exhaust gas side as per maximum permissible back pressure of source equipment.
