They are also provided with necessary connections for refrigerant & water and condensers having two-in-one (dual) circuit construction. Shell & Tube Type: Fixed Tube Sheet: These exchangers are the ones that are used in chemical industries and refineries, as there is no chance for intermixing fluids. The construction is done to make the shell & tube sheet materials weldable. U-Tube Bundle : This type of heat exchanger finds applications in fuel systems like fuel oil suction heater.
