The ball roller bearing, a new and promising rolling bearing series,has been developed 100 years after the invention of the ball bearing and 50 years after volume production readiness of the needle roller bearing.

Deep groove ball bearings are versatile,self-retaining bearings with solid outer rings, inner rings and ball and cage assemblies. These products are of simple design, durable in operation and easy to maintain; they are available in single and double row designs and and in open and sealed variants. Due to the production technology used, open bearings can still have turned recesses on the outer ring for seals or shields.

Drawn cup needle roller bearings with open ends and with closed end are units comprising thin-walled drawn outer rings and needle roller and cage assemblies. Drawn cup need roller bearings with open ends are also available in full complement versions.The majority of the bearings are single row designs.

Rolling bearings generally comprise two bearing rings with integral raceways. Rolling elements are arranged between the rings and roll on the raceways. Rolling elements can be balls, cylindrical rollers, needle rollers, tapered rollers or barrel rollers.The rolling elements are generally guided by a cage that keeps them at a uniform distance from each other and prevents them coming into contact with each other. In needle roller bearings and ribless spherical roller bearings, the cage also ensures that the rolling element axis is positioned correctly. Where bearings can be dismantled, the cage holds the rolling elements together and gives easier fitting of the bearings. For particular applications, rolling bearings with a full complement of balls, cylindrical rollers or needle rollers may be used.

Low-friction cylindrical roller bearings LSLand ZSL are single row,self-retaining and correspond to dimension series 23. The bearings have solid outer rings with two ribs, while the inner rings have one rib.The inner ring can be removed and this gives easier fitting of the bearings. Disc cages or spacers prevent the cylindrical rollers coming into contact with each other during rolling.

Linear bearings are bearing elements for translation type motion.As in the case of rotary bearings,a distinction is drawn as to whether the forces occurring are transmitted by means of rolling or sliding elements.

Needle roller and cage assemblies are single or double row units comprising cages and needle rollers.
Since their radial section is no greater than the diameter of the needle rollers, needle roller and cage assemblies allow bearing arrangements with a very small radial design envelope to be achieved. They have very high load carrying capacity, are suitable for high speeds and can be easily fitted.

axial deep groove ball bearings comprise shaft locating washers, housing locating washers and ball and cage assemblies. The bearings are not self-retaining; the ball and cage assembly and bearing washers can therefore be fitted independently of each other.

Seal carrier assemblies DRS are screwed to the centre washer of needle roller/axial cylindrical roller bearings and precisely centred there.They seal the bearings from the outside.The sealing elements are supplied as a complete set and comprise a seal carrier with an integral rotary shaft seal,a gasket and socket head cap screws for mounting the carrier on the centre washer of the bearing.

Crossed roller bearings are bearings for precision applications that correspond in their dimensions to ISO dimension series 18 in accordance with DIN 616.They comprise outer rings,inner rings,rolling elements and plastic spacers. The outer ring is split and is held together by three retaining rings.

These machine elements have proved themselves many times over, have high load carrying capacity,a versatile range of applications and are highly cost-effective. Due to their design, a single bearing can reliably support radial, axial and tilting moment loads.It is therefore possible in many cases to replace bearing arrangements comprising a combination of radial and axial bearings by a single bearing.This reduces,in some cases considerably, the costs and work required in the design of the adjacent construction and the fitting of bearings.

Thin section bearings have high precision,are very quiet and have high load carrying capacity. These ball bearings are available in three different designs and have an extremely small, predominantly square cross-section. Within each series, the cross-section remains constant even for larger shaft diameters and housing bores. The bearings are therefore also described as constant section. This special feature distinguishes thin section bearings from conventional bearings as standardised in iso series.
