ANTICO is a leading manufacturer of corrosion resistant centrifugal chemical pumps for processing and transferring a wide range of corrosive chemicals.Our products also include self priming pumps, vertical centrifugal pumps, PFA teflon lined pumps and valves. Our products Centrifugal Chemical Pumps and Non Metallic Pumps are used for venture scrubbing, steel pickling, electroplating, paints, dyestuffs, chlor alkali, pharmaceutical industry.

HISTORY

1968 Founded as a Non Metallic Pump manufacturing company.

1970 Founder, Mr. Kirit N. Shah manufactured India’s first Polypropylene Pump, fabricated out of PP Blocks.

1971 Cibatul Ltd., Gujarat (now Atul Ltd.) became the first major customer to use these fabricated PP Pumps.

1973 Introduction of India’s First Injection Moulded PP Pumps – CPP Series.

1975 Durametallic India (now Flow serve Sanmar Ltd.) introduced PTFE Bellows Seal which have become a standard accessory as part of Antico Pumps even today.

1978 Major order from Gujarat Alkalis and Chemicals Ltd., Gujarat for PP Pumps was received.

1982 Introduction of HE 160 compact PP Pumps and T 50 PP Self Priming Pumps to compliment now hugely popular CPP Series PP Pumps.

1988 Introduction of India’s First Injection Moulded PVDF Pumps Series – KLCP. This product range was later spun-off in a separate company, Fluorolined Equipment Pvt. Ltd.

1990 Untimely death of Visionary Founder Mr. Kirit N. Shah.

1991 Commissioning of a modern factory outside of Mumbai in a place called Valsad, Gujarat.

1992 Major restructuring in the product line with the introduction of EXP Series Pumps.

1993 Launch of High Capacity Pumps PPCL Series to cater to the demands of the Chemical Process Industry.

2001 Launch of HE Series PP Pumps for demanding budgets.

2005 Introduction of KNS Series PFA / FEP Pumps.

2006 Company’s Plastic Processing Division is spun-off in a separate company, KNS Lined Products Pvt Ltd.

2006 Certification to ISO 9001:2000.

2006 First major Order for PFA Lined Pumps from Otsuka Chemicals India Ltd., Rajasthan.

2008 Introduction of India’s first PFA Lined Magnetic Drive Pump.

2009 Full range of Moulded PP Magnetic Drive Pumps.

FOUNDER

Kirit. N. Shah.(1945-1990)

Born on 4th August 1945 into a Gujarati family from Rajkot. He was educated at Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai where he completed Mechanical as well as Chemical Engineering.
His father, Navinchandra Shah involved in active auctioning of consumer to industrial goods mooted the idea of manufacturing India’s first Polypropylene Chemical Process Pump. Initiated early into the techniques of trade by his father, he travelled extensively, gained an innovator’s outlook and set up Anticorrosive Equipment at Hind Service Industries, Shivaji Park, Mumbai in 1968
His attitude to manufacturing was well ahead of his times; manufacturing injection Moulded Non Metallic Pumps in 1973. His charismatic, disciplined & forward – looking leadership led Antico to new heights of achievements and expansion encompassing, PVDF Pumps, Non Metallic Valves, Metallic Pumps, Air operated Diaphragm Pumps etc.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

ANTICO has invested heavily in an ongoing programme of R&D which focuses on hydraulic design, material and processing technology and pump shaft sealing.

R&D Department is equipped with Computational Fluid Dynamics and Finite Element Analysis software to meet the above challenges.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY To design Products that are Simple, Rugged and Reliable using the most appropriate materials.

ANTICO is an ISO 9001:2000 company and is certified to DESIGN, MANUFACTURE and SUPPLY corrosion resistant non metallic pumps.

ANTICO is ISO certified by TUV India Pvt Ltd (a subsidiary of TUV NORD Germany) and the certificate is approved by National Accreditation board for Certifying Bodies (a part of Quality Council of India).

ANTICO has set up an elaborate testing bench with magnetic flow meters from Krohne Marshall.

ANTICO offers hydro testing, dynamic balancing, spark testing and various tests to satisfy customer requirement.

Pickling of Mild Steel / Stainless Steel

Pickling of metals to obtain protection against corrosion and to remove undesired surface layers like oxides (scales, rust) is done by chemical or electrochemical treatment. ANTICO pumps provide unrivalled performance and service life for Hydrochloric or Sulphuric Acid pickling applications.

Sulphuric Acid Plants

Sulphuric Acid is reckoned among the most basic substances of chemical technology. Sulphuric acid is produced by thermal dissociation of waste acids, by suitable reconditioning of sulphur containing waste gases or by use of sulphur containing minerals. ANTICO pumps are used for diluted, concentrated acids & for SO , 2 SO scrubber applications.

Chlor-Alkali Plants

Chlor-Alkali electrolysis is one of the most important processes in the chemical industry and provides the basic, chlorine, caustic soda and hydrogen. ANTICO pumps are successfully used for Brine, Sulphuric Acid, Sodium Hypochlorite and Caustic Soda applications.

Nowadays fine chemicals are increasingly gaining importance. This sector of the chemical industry comprises the pharmaceutical, biochemistry, biotechnology and many other chemical processing industries. ANTICO pumps fitted with the latest shaft sealing technologies have surpassed all customer expectations in handling
Volatile Hazardous Air Pollutants.

Gas Scrubbers

Gas scrubbers are designed for applications requiring the removal of various types of contaminants from gas streams. Typical applications for contaminant removal include noxious or toxic fumes from chemical processes. ANTICO pumps have been recommended extensively for fiberglass re-inforced gas scrubbers. Particulate removal from gas streams is accomplished with the use of venture scrubbers where ANTICO pumps have proven track record.

Electroplating (Metal Finishing) Plants

Electroplating is the process of using electrical current to reduce captions of a desired material from a solution and coat a conductive object with a thin layer of the material, such as a metal. ANTICO pumps have been deployed extensively to circulate electrolyte containing one or more dissolved metal salts majorly for electroplating of auto components.

Waste Water Treatment

Effluent of chemical processing plants treated with caustic thus neutralizing the effluent. Effluent treatment facilities have ion exchange resins to remove ions from aqueous solutions. Hydrochloric acid is used to rinse the captions from the resins thus producing dematerialized water. ANTICO pumps have become a standard equipment for acid, caustic & DM water applications amongst water treatment industry.
