BASIC WORKING OF AN AOD PUMP

• Diaphragm Pumps uses a two-stage valve to control the reciprocating motion of the pump. A pilot valve supplies a pilot signals to the power piston throughout the entire stroke or cycle of the pump.
• The pilot valve is not connected to the diaphragm connecting shaft or the diaphragms. It moves between the air chambers so that mechanical force moves the pilot valve to the signals position, which in turn shifts the power piston.
• The air from the power piston continues to shift the valve and hold it in position, even after the mechanical force is removed.
• This action positions the pilot piston for the next cycle & maintains the pilot signal throughout the entire cycle of the pump.

• The pumps can run dry indefinitely without damage.
• No shaft seals or gland packing.
• Infinitely variable flow & discharge pressure from 0 to pump's maximum by adjusting air pressure.
• If discharge is clogged or closed pump stop immediately; no power consumed, no heat, no wear. By opening discharge, flow starts automatically.
• Quick assembly /disassembly with split clamp bands.
• Safe for use in explosive environments.
