This mixer is most suitable for highly viscous material and dough like masses. Sigma Extruder combines the efficiency of a double arm mixer with the convenience of extrusion screws for improved mixing and discharge of heavy viscous materials to handle difficult to discharge products such as hot melts and butyl sealants, as well as other medium to high viscosity pastes. This type of mixer combines the action of the Double Arm Sigma Blade Mixer with an extrusion screw placed in the lower part of the mix trough. During mixing, the extrusion screw is run in reverse which imparts a third mixing action on the product, increasing mixing efficiency.

Process The extrudates are put on the chequered plate of suitable pitch and they are converted into spherical beads with the help of the chequered plate & the centrifugal force created during the spheroidization process. During the movement of wet extrudates on the rotating chequered plate, they are sheared by the grooves on the plate into approximately same size of its diameter. Having been kept rotating further by compress air. The compress air is insert from outside periphery if checker plates. Wet extrudates are turned into spherical shape by tumbling and frictional force and desirable spheres in uniform size can be obtainable at high yield. The size of spheres can be determined by screen size of extruder, say 1 mm extrudates out of 1mm screen become 1 mm diameter sphere.

This Fluid Bed Coating Machine process is used to apply a coating to the granules or pallets. This process knows as wurster coater. In this process the spray is done inside a hollow cylinder and from the bottom of this cylinder the pallets are allowed in small quantity to enter the hollow cylindrical tube. Than the particles are passing the bottom spray guns in orderly manner quickly moving upward the tubes to avoid agglomeration. Once they are outside the wurster compartment, they move downward outside the compartment where they dry another layer of coating can be supplied. Since the movement of the particle or pallets inside the wurster chamber totally controlled in ensures uniform. |
