The large LED display is larger than any other 1/16 DIN controller in the market, which is the most distinguishing feature of these equipment. Designed for NEMA 4X (IP66 equivalent), the faceplate is watertight and corrosion-resistant. Programming similar to the popular PXW controller is allowed by the easy-to-use 3-button keypad. By eliminating the need for sockets, the screw-terminal on the back further reduces the cost. In addition to all the Fuji Electric’s superior controllers like auto-tuning and fuzzy control, the controller is also enabled with self-tuning that is an innovation in the control field. Under certain conditions, it automatically re-tunes the controller, without the need to revert to auto-tuning. To include two patterns that can be linked to create a 16-step profile, the standard 8-segment ramp/soak feature has been expanded. Apart from offering two control outputs and two programmable alarms, PXR4 also accepts temperature and process inputs. Using the RS485 option that uses the industry-standard Modbus™ protocol, remote monitoring of up to 31 controllers at a time is possible. User can also get a free Windows®-based software, PXR-LITE™, on the purchase of a PXR4 with PC-communications. Setting up the clone with the new program configuration loader option can be done with ease with Windows®-based software. It is possible to save programs for different applications to and from the controller.
