We offer numerous options for pneumatic conveying systems, including dilute phase vacuum or pressure systems for flour, sugar, or chemicals, and dense phase vacuum or pressure systems to handle various materials where the customer cannot tolerate any breakage. We also offer expertise in the area of sand, cement & fly ash handling systems used in conjunction with dust handling systems and grinding mills. Also available is a full line of vacuum pressure hopper loaders and blending systems for the plastic industry. In the area of portable equipment, we can offer portable tanker unloading systems to silos.
Dense phase systems utilize a 15-psi blower unit and can convey by vacuum or pressure. Systems usually operate at approximately 0.60-0.80 kg/cm2. Material moves through the conveying line at velocities of 20 – 30 m/sec. Typical applications are flour and sugar handling, starches, chemicals, and other materials. Systems usually incorporate a rotary airlock as a feeding device a PD pump as a blower, or a vacuum exhauster and a dust collector at the terminal end of the system.
The second type of dense phase system is the pressure system. This system uses a pressure vessel or a pressure pot operating at pressures of 2.0 to 6.0 kg/cm2 and it uses a compressor to pressurize the conveying line. Product runs through a conveying line and an air line called the fluidizing air line, which injects air into the conveying line through a series of fluidizers controlling the velocity in the conveying line. The application for this type of equipment is for abrasive or friable materials, abrasive materials being cement, fly ash, sand, coal, etc. and friable materials being sugar and other products that would be broken up in a dilute phase conveying system.
The third type of conveying system is a fan-type conveying system. This system operates in inches of water. It usually uses a fan or a centrifugal blower. This system is used in milling operations to convey product from a mill to a receiver that is used in a central dust collection system to pick up dust from various use points to a dust collector. It is also used in general conveying to convey shredded paper, shredded cardboard, wood chips, and other materials to cyclones and then to terminal dust collectors.
