| Trioxsalen USP | | Trioxsalen USP, which is also known as trimethylpsoralen, trioxysalen or trisoralen is a furanocoumarin and a psoralen derivative.. Like other psoralens it causes photosensitization of the skin. It is administered either topically or orally in conjunction with UV-A (the least damaging form of ultraviolet light) for phototherapy treatment of vitiligo and hand eczema. After photoactivation it creates interstrand cross-links in DNA, which can cause programmed cell death unless repaired by cellular mechanisms.
It is also widely used for tanning of skin by bodybuilders.

Methoxsalen USP drug is mainly used to heal vitiligo, eczema, psoriasis. Methoxsalen modifies the way skin cells receive the UVA radiation, allegedly clearing up the disease. The dosage comes in 10mg tablets, which are taken in the amount of 30mg, 75 minutes before a PUVA light treatment.
Methoxsalen is extracted from the seeds of ammi majus. R&D is going on to make Methoxsalen from Synthetic route

| Inositol Nicotinate BP | | Inositol hexaniacinate (IHN) is the hexanicotinic acid ester of meso-inositol. This compound consists of six molecules of nicotinic acid (niacin) with an inositol molecule in the center.
IHN lowers LDL and triglyceride levels by decreasing VLDL synthesis in the liver.
Pharmacokinetic studies have indicated that these esters are absorbed intact and hydrolyzed in the body with release of free niacin and inositol.
