Fire doors are meant for protecting life in the event of a fire related emergency. While the causes of fire could be any - arson, short-circuit, gas leakage, explosion, sheer negligence - what is critical is protection of the many human lives at stake.

Designed to meet the life-safety requirements in various types of buildings and structures, that are compartmentalized to contain the spread of fire, these doors complement existing passive fire-fighting system.

The necessity and installation of these doors is governed by national building codes as well as directives of local fire-fighting and municipal authorities. Designed for integrity and stability, these doors are available with honeycomb core as infill material. These doors are rated for 60, 90,100,120 and 240 minutes fire rating. All fire doors are factory finished with epoxy primer and polyurethane-finish paint.

SPECIFICATION

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION

Fire rated wooden doors shutters are made of two non-combustible boards sandwiching high-grade proprietary insulation material and intumescent compounds with teak wood edging all around the shutter. An intumescent fire sealing smoke strip is incorporated in the edging of shutters and in frames on all sides except bottom. These are faced with commercial/teak plywood to provide aesthetic finish. Both single leaf and double leaf doors in all sizes are available.

We recommend the use of  fire retardant primer and  as the finishing fire retardant Enamel paint for the door, which makes the surface of the fire doors flame proof.

Doors and Door frames are the main causes of sound transmission from one room to the other.
RSPL Radiant+ Acoustic Doors provide the best acoustic insulation to prevent sound crossing over from one room to the other. Acoustic Door Sets are available in steel and wood, comply to regulations and are the best solution for all acoustic insulation needs.

Tested at ARAI/RSPL doors are rated for 39 dB. upto 55 dB and have 30 minute inbuilt fire' resistance rating.

Acoustic door sets are supplied as a unit comprising the door frame, stops, door hinges, door, threshold and seals. Cut outs are provided for locks and other door accessories.

Acoustic door sets are available in standard sizes and finishes and are also custom made to suit user requirements.

INSTALLATION

Installation instructions are provided with door at the time of supply and instructions for the door opening are given at the time of order. Installation can be carried out by factory personnel at extra cost.
