rotocast steel shots are 'solid' spherical balls of hypereutectoid steel-its chemistry and crystalline structure so designed that it gives best possible performance as a shot blasting media. The perfect spherical shape of these balls is ensured by a unique 'casting' process which fully eliminates the formation of "hallow" and "fish-tail" balls which break more rapidly into the fines than solid round balls during shot blasting operation. Because of the special casting process, the density of rotocast steel shot is always maintained above 7grams/cc as required in is-4606 of 1983.
