Kavaata means valves in Kannada, one of the important South Indian languages. It is normally used to refer to the heart valves. We understand that Valves are as important to your industry as the valves of our heart. It is only appropriate that today's modern valves be named thus. Hence the name Kavaata Valves. As the valves of the heart, our valves are also
Long Lasting

Quality Policy
We are committed to exceed our Customer’s expectations through continuous improvement of all our processes and systems and evolve into an integrated state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.
Stringent Quality checks are carried out at each stage of production to make our Valves operate trouble free for a long time resulting in customer delight and repeat orders. Strictly adhering to standards makes our valves safe to use under the recommended pressure and temperature conditions. Our valves adhere to the following standards:
BS5351 (Now ISO17292) / API6D - For Valve design
ASME B16.34 - For Wall thickness and pressure-temperature rating
BS6755 part 1 - For Valve Testing (non fire safe)
ANSI B16.5 - For Flange Dimensions in case of Flanged Valves
ANSI B16.10 - Face to Face Dimensions

Promoters
Mr. N.K.Bheema Rao, (M.Tech in Fibre Science from IIT, Delhi 1971), established the group Rao Enterprises in the year 1984, as a textile unit. He has vast industrial experience, having worked in various private organisations for over 20 years. He is the driving force of the group and is actively involved in all the major decision making.
Mr. N.B.Ashok Rao (BE, MS in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland USA, 1991), joined the group in 1991 after completing his Degree. He is actively involved in all financial matters concerning the group.
Mr. N.B.Rajeev Rao (BE, MS in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University, USA, 1994), joined the group in 1994 after completing his degree, and helped in establishing this new Mechanical Engineering division. He is responsible for manufacturing, product development and marketing of Ball Valves.
Chronology Of Progress
1984: Rao Enterprises established as a Textile Manufacturing unit by Mr. N.K.Bheema Rao
1985: Invention of Polyester Sarees, a traditional Indian dress. The Sarees made out of Polyester yarn looked and felt like Silk Sarees, and costed only a fraction. They soon caught the fancy of consumers and within a matter of months, Rao Enterprises came to be known all around the country and people from all corners came to purchase this wonder fabric. The production Polyester yarn used for the first time in Belgaum to was doubled every month to meet the enormous demand. In a couple of years, around 10000 looms started manufacturing these Sarees in and around Belgaum.
1988: Due the increased demand of Polyester Yarn, Rao Enterprises took up agencies of big Polyester Yarn manufacturing companies, such as Reliance Industries Ltd. The demand for Polyester Sarees and hence the yarn continued to rise and soon the the turnover from sale of Polyester yarn crossed the turnover from Sarees.
1991: N.B.Ashok Rao, came back from USA after finishing his Masters degree and joined the group. The main focus now was to increase the turnover of Polyester yarn business and therefore a new Polyester Yarn twisting and warping factory was set up.
1994: N.B.Rajeev Rao, come back from USA after completing his Masters degree and joined the group. It was decided the group should exit from Sarees business, as it was getting highly competitive, and concentrate solely on yarn business. Rajeev and Company was established as the exclusive dealer for Reliance Industries Ltd.
1996: A need was felt to diversify into fields other than Textiles and hence, it was decided to start a CNC work shop to machine precision turned components. This was the establishment of the Engineering Division of Rajeev and Company. One of the components developed during the time was Ball for Ball Valves. Because of the superior quality of the Balls many Ball Valve suppliers started purchasing Balls made by Rajeev and Co., which they used to import earlier.
2004: The automobile market entered a boom period and there was a need for CNC turned auto components. One more CNC machine was purchased to cater to this great demand. The company also took ISO 9001 certification.
2005: The demand for auto components continued and by the end of the year two more CNC turning centres made their way into the list of machinery. In the mean while, the ball valve component manufacturing continued to progress with new customers added regularly.
2006: Although auto component demand was continuously going up, it was always a Job Work, and therefore a need was felt to develop "Own Product". Because of our expertise in Balls for Ball Valves, manufacturing of Ball Valves was started in the month of December.
2007: This was the year of consolidation and introduction of our new product, Ball Valves. After a long deliberation, Mr. N.K.Bheema Rao, came up with the brand name of Kavaata for the valves, which means valves in Kannada.
2008: A need for Vertical Machining Centre was felt and hence the machine was procured. The Ball Valves sales continued to rise and they became widely accepted for high quality.
2009: The story of success continues and we continue our journey from excellence to perfection.
