The sarong-like unstitched fabric 'lungi' was originated in the South, usually they are designed in checks it is simply draped around the thighs with a big pleat in the front. "Lunghi" is often colourful and patterned in checks and other designs. Singapore, Malaysia and Middle East countries are the main target market for these products.
