In accordance to the environmental policy of Ramboll and to the public demand and interest, Ramboll Telecom has taken several measures to decrease the resource consumption in the design of telecom towers. This leads to a significantly lower environmental impact from production of materials for the towers.
Ramboll Telecom has made a comparative evaluation of the carbon footprint for a range of different towers. A carbon footprint is the total emission of green house gasses (GHG) for a product or an organization including both direct and indirect emissions. The carbon footprints include the whole life cycle “cradle to grave” of the products from excavating the raw resources to production, use and disposal. The approach used is the life cycle assessment (LCA) method and data is collected from approved LCA tools and databases.
RAMBOLL SECURES REVENUE OF DKK 5.5 BILLION DESPITE GLOBAL ECONOMIC DOWNTURNRamboll Group delivered a resilient financial performance in 2009 reflecting that the company has successfully adapted to the prevailing market conditions. The group secured its revenue at DKK 5.5 billion and achieved a profit before tax of DKK 213 million despite significant non-recurring costs. The company is net debt free with a committed credit facility exceeding DKK 1 billion for future expansion and holds an order book of DKK 2.4 billion. Thus, Ramboll is well prepared to pursue its strategy for growth.
