PSC is made by inter- grinding clinker, granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS), and gypsum, or by blending ground slag with Portland cement. Earlier usage of slag cement in Europe and elsewhere demonstrates that long-term concrete performance is enhanced in varied ways. Improved durability characteristics of Portland Slag Cement helps reducing life-cycle costs, lower maintenance costs and makes concrete more sustainable. Granulated blast furnace slag (slag cement) and fly ash were found to be effective at mitigating the chemical attack. This Cement is typical light in color and has an easier 'finish' ability.
