REC engineering was established in the year 1985, in Belgaum, Karnataka, India. The company specializes in the manufacturing components, which are fully machined, painted and ready to assemble in flow control industries such as valves, Pumps, Fittings and other engineering industries.
The product range includes the components for various types of Valves such as Globe, Check, Butterfly and various types of pump parts. These are produced In Cast iron, Ductile Iron, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, and Non-ferrous materials such as Aluminum Bronze, Tin Bronze etc. We provide fully machined, painted (finished packaged in some cases) products and delivered to the customer worldwide.
REC has a significant location advantage, as Belgaum, India is conveniently located in between two major growth centers, Bombay, a major seaport and Commercial hub of India, and Bangalore, a Indian Silicon valley as well as fasted growing city in India. Belgaum is 500 km from either of these two cities and well connected by Road on National High way 4, and also by Air and Rail.

Production :
The company has 25,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and office facility located in prime Industrial Area of Belgaum.
Full fledged machine shop with machining equipments which include CNC machines center lathes, drilling and milling machines.
Paint shop with a variety of painting capabilities.
Quality Control :
Hydraulic testing machines to shell test valve bodies and pumps upto 40 bar pressure. The, facility also, has the capability of performing air testing under water facility, high pressure testing, upto 600 bar under development.,
Full fledge quality assurance staff, with qualified quality engineers ensuring the quality of products, in foundries and machining.,
More than 2,000 quality control gauges and instruments which are used in production. The list of, instruments includes: digital verniers, Micrometers, trimos, surface plates, height gauges, ring, gauges, BSP, BSPT, UNC, NPT, NPTF etc.,
Instruments are calibrated periodically as per the calibration plan.,
REC is a founding member of “The Belgaum Material Test Center” (BMTC), a cooperative testing, center promoted by local industries. BMTC has extensive list of facility for tensile testing, chemical, analysis, ultrasonic, radiography, spectrograph etc. Full fledge calibration lab for calibrating all the, gauges and inspection equipment.

The castings are tested for physical, chemical specifications and conformance to various ASTM,DIN standards.
The machining inspection is carried out as per inspection plan for each part.
The products are either Hydro tested or Air tested, as applicable.
Quality records are maintained for full material traceability to various inspection standards like EN 10204 2.2 & 3.1.
In house process control to ensure the consistency in quality of the products.
We maintain all instruments, gauges, under active calibration plan.
The products are packaged and shipped in full compliance with the requirements of APHIS of USA and IPPM of European Union for Wood Packaging Material used in shipments.
