Brief Technical Detail
Transformer:

A double wound step up transformer is the most important part. The transformer is wound with high quality enameled copper wire and polyester film/paper is provided between the layers. C.R.G.O. strip core are used for light weight & efficient transformer.

Voltage Control Step-less auto-transformer is used for controlling the output from zero to maximum.

DC High Voltage Test Set

Introduction 'RE' DC High Voltage Testers are manufactured for testing cables & other Electrical equipments as per IS/ IEC specifications. The unit consists of transformer, rectifier, condenser, voltmeter and variac etc. All the components are housed in nicely painted sheet metal housing/ powder coated housing.

Termination The negative and positive terminals are brought out on suitable insulators. Positive or negative polarity can be supplied at Earth Potential on request.
Protection (a) The unit consists of fast acting DC relay which actuates instantaneously if the testing current goes beyond the pre-set level. (b) The HV will not actuate if variac is not at zero position. (To protect the transformer against transients on HV side & to protect the operator).

  • HT Cable: The equipment is supplied with ten meters long copper braided H.T. cable with HT plug and socket. The braiding remains on earth potential.
  • LT Cable: For input supply ten meters long 3 core cable is provided.
  • Zero Start Interlocking: This is to ensure that the H.T. shall not actuate if the voltage control knob is not at zero position.
  • Earth Interlocking: If proper earth is not connected the HT shall not actuate.
  • Auto Discharging Arrangement : The equipment consists of automatic cable discharging arrangement.
  • Socket: H.T. plug and socket has been specially developed by us with automatic earthing arrangement.



Induced Over Voltage Test Set

Introduction:

Induced Over Voltage Test Set is used for testing the strength of insulation between turns and between other points of the Transformers etc. as stipulated by BIS or other standard specification. For this test Double voltage is applied across L.T. terminals for one minute, and to control the magnetising current over voltage frequency is applied. It is an independent unit having coupled Motor and Generator with Control Panel to control the motor and the output voltage. Depending upon design requirements AC or DC motors are used.

Brief Technical Detail:

The Control Panel consists of direct on-line starter or Star-Delta depending upon capacity of the setup. Moving coil Voltmeter and Ammeter are provided to indicate the output voltage and current. Frequency meter is provided to check output frequency. While for measuring input voltage and current, moving iron type meters are used. Other included parts consist of variac, indicators, control switches, and operator safety features. In case of DC motor, DC drive is used to control/vary the frequency.

'RE' Primary Injection Test Sets are specially designed for testing and calibration of CT's, Bi-metal relays, etc. Each unit is designed as per the customers specification. These units are air cooled/ oil cooled depending upon capacity and duty cycle. Normally the Primary Injection Test Sets are designed for 15 minutes ON and 30 minutes OFF duty cycle and Loading Transformer for continuous duty used for temperature rise test of Bus duct, Bus bar and joins etc.

Brief Technical Detail:

This set is designed for working on 220/ 230V single phase 50 Hz AC supply and complete with power ON-OFF indicator, circuit ON indicator. Each circuit shall have push button actuated, relay/ contractor to control the output of the circuit. All these circuits and components shall be housed in rigid PVC suitcase with carrying handle or wheels in case of higher capacity.

Current Circuit:

To Inject current of desired value in the relay/ contactor. This circuit consists of loading transformer, selector switch, variable control, fine adjustment. Depending upon specific requirement, percentage selector switch can also be provided to inject current at various multiples. The current injected is indicated by Ampere Meter. For large range the ammeter has a multiplier or current transformer.

Voltage Control:


Circuit supplies voltage independently as per requirement. The continuously variable voltage or fixed tap voltage can be provided as desired. AC, DC or both voltages can be provided along with corresponding metering, indications, switches etc.

Phase Circuit:


This is incorporated only when special type of relays are to be tested.The phase angle between voltage & current is developed to obtain current operational parameters of the relay.

Time Circuit:


Digital Timers with freezing facility is provided for recording the operation/ tripping time of relays. Each circuit is independent & push button operated, relay/ contractor to control the output of the circuit.

Introduction:

Contact resistance micro-ohm meter model RE-CR-100 is capable to measure resistance between 0.1 micro ohm to 2milli ohm. The instrument can provide test current between 10%-100%(100Amp-600Amp) subject to the load resistance and supply voltage. The system uses four terminals-two for current supply and two for resistance measurement. The unit has high current capability and is of compact design suitable for testing high current contacts for circuit breakers, switches, bus-bar joints and other application where high current junctions exist. The unit is housed in M.S. sheet housing, is light in weight and is supplied complete with 2 nos. current leads with clamps and 2 nos. potential leads with clips.

Spark Tester

Introduction:

'RE' High Voltage Spark Testers are designed for checking the quality of PVC coated wires during manufacturing at shop floor. The PVC wire is passed through brass ball chains which carry high voltage. If any pin hole comes in PVC, a spark develop and electro-magnetic counter counts the fault. The spark tester in necessary for every cable manufacturing unit. Our spark tester up to 15KV are air cooled, thereafter transformer is oil immersed and control panel air cooled.

Application:

Oil test set is designed for testing the dielectric strength of insulating oil as per IS-335/ IEC-156 AST/ standards. The unit develops high voltage between electrodes immersed in oil under test as per IS:6792. In addition to the test preparation in detail, the set is automatically governed by a full proof ASLC. This features enable the user to operate the equipment with a single touch of the 'membrance keyboard'. The results can be viewed on the double colour backlit LCD display or can be printed. The results can be summarized at a later stage because of the presence of 44 last tests stored in the memory.

Brief Technical Detail
:

'RE' Automatic Oil Test Set is designed, keeping in view for the requirements of the modern time and that of error free test results. The operator just has to load the sample in the test vessel and press test start. Rest of the job is taken care by the pre-programmed PLC, in which certain variables can be entered, though protected by a password. The variables provided are: stir time, wait time, operator code. The operator may program a test sequence and keep the test parameters saved for future use.



Cable Fault Burning Unit

We manufacture cable fault burning unit according to the clients needs and specification.

The unit is in two parts:

  1. Main Transformer
  2. Control Panel with Regulator

The Main Transformer will be step up type and will have OFF load tap changer for each voltage. Casted wheels shall be provided for ease of movement. The control Panel cum Regulating Transformer will have zero start interlocking with by-pass switch. It will have tripping on the primary side and also Ammeter, Multi range Voltmeter calibrated to indicate secondary voltage shall be provided. The unit can be used as High voltage tests upto 1000V. The unit will be designed for 5 minutes duty and will have sufficient capacity for burning fault. The Main HV Transformer and the Regulating Transformer will be oil cooled type.
