Overview:


The RDM-T24FZ is a low-cost 2.4 GHz transceiver designed for very low powerwireless applications. The circuit is mainly intended for the 2400-2483.5 MHZ ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) and SRD (Short Range Device) frequency band.


The RF transceiver is integrated with a highly configurable baseband modem. The modem supports various modulation formats and has a configurable data rate up to 500 kbps. RDM-T24FZ provides extensive hardware support for packet handling, data buffering, burst transmissions, clear channel assessment, link quality indication, and wake-on-radio. The main operating parameters and the 64-byte transmit/receive FIFOs of RDM-T24FZ can be controlled via an SPI interface.

A 4-wire SPI serial interface is used for configuration and data buffer access.

    The RDZM-T24FZ is a second generation Zigbee® / IEEE 802.15.4 RF Transceiver Modules for the 2.4 GHz unlicensed ISM band. This chip enables industrial grade applications by offering state-of-the-art selectivity / co-existence, excellent link budget, operation up to 125oC and low voltage operation.

    In addition, the RDZM-T24FZ provides extensive hardware support for frame handling, data buffering, burst transmissions, data encryption, data authentication, clear channel assessment, link quality indication and frame timing information. These features reduce the load on the host controller.

    The excellent coverage and low power consumption makes it an ideal choice for many applications. In a typical system, the RDZM-T24FZ will be used together with a microcontroller and a few additional passive components.
