Heavy Duty Bearing Grease are semi synthetic, soap thickened grease containing Molybdenum disulphide. These greases contains a polymeric synthetic additive which improves surface adherence and provides back up lubricant loss occurrence. These greases are capable of operating in arduous conditions of heavy load, vibration, high temperature of where small amounts of water are present. These greases are resistant to high pressure and shock loading and possess excellent extreme pressure property. These greases forms a film of solid lubricant on bearing surfaces during operation. This film of solid lubricant is made up of multiple layers, which can slide over each other but cannot be compressed. This unique property enables these greases to provide emergency lubrication even under conditions of heavy loads, high temperature and lubricant loss from bearing surfaces.

Applications

All types of ball, roller, needle and spherical bearings operating at slow, medium and high speeds, high temperatures upto 2500C and heavy load. All equipment subject to frequent stop-go operations or heavy sliding friction including splined shafts, threaded drive, spindles and drive coupling, loaded gears in machinery and heavy duty vehicles, tractors, cranes, excavators, conveyors and fork lift trucks. General lubrication of machinery subject to high loads and material handling equipment. DOWSIL- 200 is the best lubricant for the above applications. DOWS1L-200 is an economy version of and has similar properties. DOWSIL-250 is mostly meant for plain bearings and bushes and very high sliding friction.

Packing and Shelf Life

DOWSIL Heavy Duty Bearing Greases are available in 500g and 25Kg. packs. These preparations do not exhibit any significant change in properties if stored properly in original packs for over two years. Slight hardening of the paste or slight oil bleeding is considered normal and is reversible by agitation. However, warranty claims, in case of manufacturing defects is limited to one year from date of manufacturing. The information and data contained in this data sheet is believed to be reliable. DOWSIL Powersoft 584 (T.F.) is a micro emulsion an alkyl modified siloxane having reactive group in the linear chain. It improves significantly surface smoothness in compare to conventional amino emulsion. Dowsil Powersoft 584 (T.F.) gives around 30-40% more softness against conventional amino emulsion when treated the fabric with alike bath concentration. Dowsil Powersoft 584 (T.F.) is suitable for padding as well garment washing to a board range of cotton, blend and viscous fabric, No catalysts are required for Dowsil Powersoft 584 (T.F.). It is compatible with a wide range of finishing baths.

Processing

5-10 gm/lit of Dowsil Powersoft 584 (T.F.) are recommended for padding method. Better result is obtained when fabric is cured at 1350C for 2 min. Dowsil Powersoft 584 (T.F.) can also be used in exhaustive process. Dowsil Powersoft 584 (T.F.) is added in the last rinsing bath after bleaching stoning and biopolish. Traces of chlorine should have been removed before. The bath is kept at 400C. After 20 minutes, exhaustion is completed.

Treatment process in Garment washing:

1. Enzyme washing is carried out in all denim and cotton garments (skip the enzyme wash in case of washing charge is less) at 350C-400C, pH 5-5.5 in tumble washer.
2. Bleaching - It is only applied in case of denim and H2O2 is used as a bleaching chemical.
3. Softening treatment of the garments is carried out in tumble washers at 30-400C for 20 min. Standard machine can wash 140 pieces of trousers or 240-245 pieces of shirts at a time. Generally 5 kg Catioonic and 2 kg Dowsil Powersoft 584 (T.F.) (2.5 kg 35% conventional amino emulsion is required in otherwise) are used in each batch.
4. Hydrodrier - Remove water from the washed fabrics.
5. Tumble drier. Drying is done at 60-1100C till the garment become dry.

Storage Stability

DOWSIL Powersoft 584 (T.F.) has a shelf of at least six months if stored in tightly closed original containers between: 40C and 350C. The "Best use before" -date of each batch is given on the product label. If the material is kept beyond the recommended shelf life, it is not necessarily unusable, but a quality control should be performed on the properties relevant to the application.

Mixing with one Component of Foamer

In some chemical processes, the silicone foam preventive can be mechanically dispersed in one of the ingredients of the foaming systems using a high-speed blender of lighting-type mixer. The mixture is then added directly to the batch according to normal procedure for the particular process. In certain food and pharmaceutical applications. It is mixed with sugar, salt, calcium carbonate etc then this powdery mixture is added to the foamer.
