» Jaipur - The capital of
India and one of the three vertices of the famous golden triangle in India,
it boasts of its magnificent variety of ancient monuments and culture that
dates back to time immemorial. The whole city was painted in Pink color by
Maharaja Man Singh II when Prince of Wales, later Edward VII, visited Jaipur
in 1876 AD. Today, every home within the city is obliged by law to maintain

» Jodhpur - This city in

» Jaisalmer - Rawal Jaisal, a
descendent of the Yadav Clan and a Bhati Rajput, laid the foundation of this
city in 1156 AD. Trikuta was the hill chosen and Jaisal abandoned his old
fort at Lodurva and established his new capital here. In the time of yore,
it used to be a major halt on the famous silk route. Today, with the opulent
Jaisalmer Fort, hawelis and sand dunes, it is a major attraction of the
tourists.

» Udaipur - Located around the

» Bikaner - The city was founded
in 1486 AD by the Rathore prince, Rao Bikaji, hence the name Bikaner. This

vagaries of the desert and any external aggression. Bikaner has been able to
preserve its traditional aura , which makes it a fantastic place to explore.

» Kota - Located along the
eastern bank of the Chambal River, Kota is an amazing example of majestic

» Ajmer - Ajmer was the seat of
administration for the Chauhans till Prithviraj was defeated in 1193 AD by
Mohammad Ghauri. It then became a part of the Delhi Sultanate. The city has
always been a coveted and strategic place for the Rajputs, the Mughals and
the Marathas. Today it is famous for the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

» Bharatpur - Bharatpur has
earned a distinct reputation for its bird sanctuary near the Keoladeo Ghana
National Park, which is the finest in Asia. Every year, the rare Siberian
cranes come to spend the winter in the warmer climate of Bharatpur, which
makes it a hot spot for the tourists.
