Crane Motor Resistor Box
It is constructed to withstand shocks and jolts that a crane has to undergo. It is made of fechral strip and has the following features:
  • Vivid variety , comes in 3 Phase and single phase

Variable Resistance Rheostat
Specific Name: Loading Rheostat
Loading Rheostat is an equipment that has variable Resistance. It is used for loading transformer, power generator, supply main and the likes. The loadings are appropriately arranged to regulate the current. Its various parts and functions are stated below:
  • Resistors: It is made up of Nickel-copper alloy wire and has very low temperature coefficient. It is wound on insulated tube without iron core for resistance load.
  • Switches: They come in Heavy duty single pole/3pole on/off rotary switches and are extensively used for controlling the main loading steps.
  • Terminal: this variety includes post type insulated terminals for connecting input supply.
  • Fuses: the rheostat has HRC/rewireable type fuses that come on input.
  • Constructions: The resistors are assembled inside the M.S. Angle iron frame and are entirely covered with expanded metal for free cross ventilation and efficient cooling. Wheels are provided for easy handling of equipments in the laboratory.
  • Availability:
    Single phase 230 volt A.C. or D.C, 1.5KW, 2.5KW, 5KW & 10 KW in different steps.
    Three phase 415 volt A.C. 3KW, 4.5 KW, 7.5 KW & 9KW with different number of steps are available.

In the slide wire rheostat, Black oxidized Eureka wire also called (copper Nickel Alloy wire) is wound tightly on enamelled steel pipe that has the diameter 50mm and lengths 300mm,375mm and 450mm. Bakelite end supports are employed for mounting the pipes. The rider is constructed with tempered phosphor bronze sheet which serves the function of voltage control and amps in electrical circuit.

Slide Wire Rheostat-Double
Specification: Double
The slide wire rheostat double is an extension of the above stated rheostat however with small differences. It is constructed with Black oxidized Eureka wire (copper Nickel Alloy wire) which is wound on enamelled steel pipe with a diameter of 50mm and length varying from 300mm, 375mm to 450mm. M.S.End supports are used for mounting the pipes. The rider is constructed of tempered phosphor bronze sheet, which serves the purpose of voltage and amps control in electrical circuit . To meet higher loads, porcelain pipes are used. There is a provision for customization of the product according to the requirement of the user.

Strip Edge Wound Coil

Strip Edge Wound Coil
Strips come in different sizes and are made of Fechral alloy. Resistance coil is made by edge winding of the strips with multi turns which are cut as per design to gain required resistance values. The coils are inserted on porcelain grooves, which are in turn supported by a metal plate. These types of elements are fitted on metal trays of the resistor box.

Porcelain Insulator
Specific Name: Grooved Porcelain Insulator
This has got unique design to insert easily the fechral strip edge wound coils over ther grooves to form the element. Combination of Quartze, feldspar, china clay, talcum powder , calcite and calcined alumina (Al2O3) is selected at different proportion. The mounded insulators,after atmospheric drying are fed to an electronically controlled oil fired furnace and fired at 1260"c.

Our insulators are shock proof and vibration free.

We offer two different designs of M.S holder which are horizontal and vertical types. The choice of the holders is made / selected depending upon the height of the resistor box that is to be used. The holders that we manufacture are plated with white zinc.

Specific Name: Fechral Wire Coil Type Element
Fechral wire is wound keeping different inside diameter for the coil.Different lengths can be cut to suit the resistance values according to the design. Coil ends are fitted tightly with M.S. clamps and are welded. These elements are stacked inside the resistor box.

Specific Name: Fechral Wire Wound Flat Type Element
This type of element has a White Zinc plated M.S. Flat with dimensions 300X100X2.5mm. Grooved Insulators is fixed on both sides of the former. Fechral wire is wound closely on the grooves.Lug terminals are provided on both ends of the former. Lug terminals are also provided in between end terminals to serve the purpose of tapping.Some of the features are:
  • Elements are stacked on two M.S. rods
  • Connected in series or parallel for required resistance value and loads
  • Single phase as well as three phase resistor boxes can be manufactured for motor controls
