Different types of synthetic polymer yarns of esters such as draw yarn, draw-textured yarn and textured yarn, which are necessarily sampled for test-dyeing are processed. Even in a batch, these processed yarns dry with irregular shades according to individual yarn produced by the same machine on different processing section. On the stage of piece-dyeing, drying trouble is caused. Hence, the irregularly dyed woven yarn remains distinct from other yarns dyed in uniform shade. Moreover, when dyed yarns have been woven or knitted into a fabric after processing, similar problems can occur as the fabric that is produced consists of yarns. The produced fabric is different from others in terms of shades. This is due to the complexity of making distinction of slightest color difference between the packaged yarn before knitting or weaving. By the use of knit test-pieces, which indicate the shades of yarns or color consistency in each package, the dyed yarns should be classified by color difference. In order to produce fabrics of unified loops and stitches, the needle cylinder is locked and the cam rings to drive sinkers and needles circulate the needle cylinder.
