Solvent Extraction Process
Ritika's belt type horizontal extractor, desolventising toaster, distillation system and heat recovery system are so efficiently designed as to give the best of performance in items of quality od DOC, consumption of utilities & hexane loss. The Solvent Extraction Plant generally comprises of:

SEED PREPARATION:

• Roller Mills
• Flaking Mills
• Cookers Conditioners

I. Roller Mills: Used in the preparation of oilseeds prior to direct solvent extraction.

II. Flaking: Fitted with smooth rolls particularly suitable for flaking oilseeds or cakes prior to solvent extraction

III. Cooker Conditioners: Designed to condition the seed for better extraction by heating and adjusting moisture content to optimum levels.


Dry Bleaching Process
Dry Bleaching is the traditional system we all know and is still valid for a wide range of processing situations. In its simplest form, dry bleaching gives you maximum bleaching capacity at minimum cost, but it does not have some limitations. Normally, only one bleaching agent is used, and of course you cannot try wet bleaching. The filters operate on one in operation- one in stand- by basis. Normally, when a filter is ready for cleaning, the oil in that filter is pumped directly to the second, clean, filter.

Dry Bleaching is the most common bleaching method. If the oil is caustic refined or degummed, then you can run the oil direct from the water wash stage and dry the oil as it enters the reactor. Combined with an acid pre-treatment stage, a dry bleaching plant is also commonly used for physical refining of palm oil.


Physical Refining Process
Refining Process of Vegetable oil comprises mainly neutralisation of free fatty acid, removal of colour and removal of odour. In chemical refining process, this is done by addition of caustic soda to oil, which converts free fatty acids into soap stock, which is then removed as by product during the refining process. The soapstock is further processed to convert it into acid oil by treatment with sulphuric acid. The process involves severalwater washes in the neutralisation process as well as in soap stock acidulation process and this results in high production of effluent water.
