Ultrasonic cleaner is basically a cleaning device that is based on ultrasound and is used to clean delicate items. These are stainless steel tanks having piezoceramic transducers attached to the bottom and side and are of four basic types - single tank cleaning systems, industrial single tank cleaning systems, multi tank cleaning systems and automation. These are based on the principle:

• Transducers are attached to the electrical signal

• It increases in size and causes the bottom and sides of the tank to move

• This creates a compression wave in the liquid filled in tank

• These are attached to an electricity generator and put out on a high frequency signal (20 to 50 kHz)

• Consequently rapid compression and rarefaction waves in the liquid occur

• Liquid gets disintegrated due to rarefaction and creates a vacuum cavity in it

• The cavity expands and contracts with the compression wave

• The cavity collapses violently after reaches a certain point

• This creates instant breaking up of bubbles
