International Airlines Ticketing
The year 1963, saw the company enter the sphere of airline ticketing when Charandasji was appointed G.S.A. for Lebanese Airlines, to be followed by G.S.A. for Iraqi Airways in 1969, Air France in 1972. Consistently good performances have resulted in the Group acquiring G.S.A. for Kuwait Airways, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Oman Air, Egypt Air, Air Canada, Air china, CSA Czech airline, East African Airlines and Asiana Airlines for both cargo and passenger operations, with offices in all the major cities of India.
Iron and Steel Factory
In 1960, the foundation stone was laid for an integrated steel plant at Faridabad. The steel plant was the first in Northern India to have melting, casting, rolling all under one roof- yet another example of the pioneering spirit of Charandasji.
Theater and Entertainment
Impressed by his business acumen, the Royal Family of Patiala granted him special permission to set up cinema theatres ___ a rare accomplishment for those days. The Malwa Picture Palace and Phool Theatre in Patiala in 1939 were followed by Alps at Rajpura and Jubilee Theatre at Faridkot, Kiran Cinema in Chandigarh in 1955 and Jagat Theatre in 1961.
