An active player in both domestic and international market, RFTL’s product mix is aimed at catering to the high demand globally as well as maximizing on returns. The Company manufactures High Carbon Ferro Chrome (H.C.FeCr), Ferro Manganese (FeMn) and Silico Manganese (SiMn) through Submerged Arc Furnace (SAF) route.
Promoted by Mr. S K Patni, RFTL started its journey in 2003 with a merge capacity of 24,000 mtpa from its 2 nos. 9 MVA furnaces in Bishnupur, West Bengal. Then with its never-ending expansions every year, the same plant now produces 70,000 mtpa from total 5 nos. of 9MVA furnaces.
In 2006, RFTL also expanded its wings into State of Orissa by installing a 110,000 mtpa capacity of ferro alloys with 4 nos. 16.5 MVA furnaces in Kalinganagar Industrial Complex in Jajpur.
Presently, with the total installed capacity of 180,000 mtpa, RFTL exports nearly 70% of its production. |
Quality Policy / ProcessesQuality consciousness permeates RFTL where it is believed that quality is the key to ensuring customer loyalties. In order to meet the challenges of the market and also to take on competition, the Company continuously strives to improve various process parameters like electrical power consumption, pre-reduction of the ore and also improvement of the quality of the raw materials charge to reduce the cost of production as also to start development of new types of Alloys required by the Industries.
RFTL is equipped with an advanced Quality Control Laboratory with modern equipments like Leco, Spectrophotometer, C.S. Apparatus and digital heat analyzer and has strict quality assurance guidelines. Stringent metallurgical control is maintained right from the receipt of raw materials to dispatch of finished products. The Company’s quality management program of ISO Accreditation ensures that the product is consistently within the specification parameters.
