We offer Finger Pulse Oximeter for measuring the arterial oxygen saturation of hemoglobin. Our oximeter is based on two complicated physical principles which describe the functioning of oximeter. The function of pulse oximeter is affected by various variables such as ambient light, shivering, abnormal hemoglobin, pulse rate & rhythm and vasoconstriction & cardiac function. The oximeter gives no indication of a patient’s ventilation, only of their oxygenation and therefore gives a false sense of security if supplemental oxygen is being given. Application of oximeter might delay between the occurrence of potentially hypoxic event such as respiratory obstruction and a pulse oximeter detecting low oxygen saturation.
