At Roopkala, we bring out the Indian in every woman. Having been in the business of creating beautiful garments since 1943, founded by Shri Kantilal Motla, Roopkala is today, a fashion house renowned for its original designs in fabrics, bridal ensembles and ready-to-wear outfits.
It all started over 50 years ago, when Shri Kantilal Motla started selling exquisite, hand-embroidered sarees, door-to-door. The quality and beauty of the sarees inevitably led to name and fame and soon, he had his own corner in a shop, where he retailed sarees and fabrics, independently.
His vision was to cater to the needs of every Indian woman, with sarees, fabrics and specialized bridal wear. This dream was soon realized in 1952, when he joined up with a few partners and established the Roopkala garment house.
The mission continued, providing wedding trousseaux and bridal outfits to every Indian woman, at the most affordable prices. Enduring many hardships, but refusing to sacrifice on the quality of goods, Shri Kantilal Motla continued to source only the finest fabrics and embroideries, from all over the country.
Today, Roopkala has grown from its original 540 sq.ft to an enormous 7,000 sq.feet shopping store in the prime district for wedding shopping, of South Mumbai, with 75 dedicated team members, who take every effort to ensure that your shopping experience is a memorable one.
