This machine is useful to avoid cable theft or cable damage by other agencies by getting instant alarm. One pair of cable under test is connected to the machine and its far end looped. If someone cuts that cable, we get loud alarm and that channel’s lamp will glow. You can reset the alarm. But that lamp will continue to glow. After 30 minutes, the buzzer starts again. You can monitor 4 to 8 cables at a time. By connecting different pairs of the same cable at different pillars we can get approximate location of the theft.

We also have a model which can be used to monitor 150 cables simultaneously. This can also be configured to monitor 50 cables with 3 pillars for each cable.

Low Insulation Faults can not be detected by normal TDR method but needs special technique. This machine is used for location of Low Insulation / Battery/ Earth faults. One good pair & one faulty pair are connected to the unit. The good pair is shorted at the far end. One leg of the faulty pair is connected to the good pair at far end. The unit indicates the distance of the good pair & the distance to the fault (in meters). Unit is chargeable battery operated.

This tester is useful for testing exchange and subscriber side of the line. On the exchange side we can check Exch. Voltage & Dial tone. On the subscriber side we can check the presence of AC voltage, Battery, Earth, Short-circuit and Condenser click. We can also give a ring to the subscriber and talk to them. There is also a provision to check exchange-side ISDN voltage. Similarly for broadband we can verify whether loop resistance is less than 1 K-Ohms. There is also a provision to send a tone to catch a pair. For testing line in field, Field line tester is also available.

This Fault locater is used for detecting open and short faults in telecom/signal cables. When a faulty pair is connected to the tester, a LED indicates if the pair is open or short and the digital display will instantly give a reading of the distance to the fault (in meters).

The unit is very compact and consumes much less power. It can be used in the field for 3-4 days without charging the battery. Due to the direct digital readout, the measurement is very accurate. An in-built timer saves the battery by switching unit to a power-save mode. This makes it totally user friendly and any operator having minimal knowledge can successfully locate the fault. In order to reduce Broadband and ISDN Line transmission losses, it is essential to check Earth resistance. With this tester we can check earth resistance up to 0.1 ohms. This is a specialized machine for testing Pouyet / Krone/ E 10B IPM / GD tube. If GD is not proper then exchange line cards can not be protected from surge voltage. Modulated signal equivalent to lightening signal is internally generated and is applied to GD tube.This will force the gas inside the GD tube to discharge and we get alarm from the unit. Individual section of GD tube like A or B limb can be tested. Similarly we have tester for testing 10 Ch GD tube magazine of Krone and Pouyet type.

This is used to find out route of underground cable. Tone is fed from Signal Generator to one of pair. With the help of sensor signal is picked up & amplified in receiver. Low insulation / Battery / Earth faults can not be located easily. So the best way is to convert those faults into open or short faults. This machine generates short duration modulated high signal pulses which are applied continuously to faulty pair. This changes characteristics of pair & that pair becomes open or short, thus easily locatable There is also a provision to give one leg / both leg current.

In the field it is difficult to test broadband line. Since Broadband signal is in digital format. This signal is converted into analog format by demodulation and it is indicated on the digital display. For proper operation of broadband, this signal strength must be within certain range.
