Ruby Ceramics was founded in 1986 and was registered in1988 as a Pvt. Ltd. Company under the Indian Companies Act, 1956.

Manufacturing activity is focussed on Micronising Zircon Sand to be used as an opacifier in the ceramic tile & sanitaryware industry. Zircon opacifier is produced by milling natural zircon sand, is widely used under the brand name "ZR" as an opacifier. The current range, ZR-5 & ZR-10 are used as ceramic opacifiers in the tile industry, while ZR-200 & ZR-300 are zircon flours used by the ceramic frit manufacturers and by the foundry industry.

Ruby Ceramics Pvt. Ltd. is the largest producer of Zircon Opacifier in India.

The company has invested in the latest technology of Laser Diffraction based particle size measurement and is also equipped with the latest spectroscopic measuring device in order to check the opacity and the whiteness of Zircon Opacifier.
