There are three types of Paraffin Wax produced in the country. The applications of these three types of Paraffin Wax and Slack Wax are as under: - Paraffin Wax Type-I: This is mainly used for paper conversion in Food Packaging industry. Paraffin Wax Type-II: This is used for manufacturing of Candles, Tarpaulins and Shoe Polish etc. Paraffin Wax Type-III: This is used in manufacturing of Match-boxes etc.

Today we use bitumen to pave roads for our transportation vehicles whether they are cars, bikes, motorbikes, trucks or even planes. Bitumen products are derived from oil and we use bitumen primarily to build bitumen roads. With the greenhouse effect now an issue for everyone, bitumen has become a more environmentally friendly product to use. Bitumen has many uses; it is not just for building roads and bitumen driveways.

Residue wax is the by product which comes out from slack wax when it is de-oiled in the process of making press paraffin wax.

RESIDUE WAX, FORMALLY KNOWN AS FOOTS OIL IS A COMMODITY DERIVED FROM THE PRODUCTION OF SEMI REFINED PARAFFIN WAX, HAVING ALMOST 60% RESULT FROM 100% OF SLACKS PROVIDED BY THE OIL REFINERIES SUCH RESULTS ARE MAINLY FORMULATED IN TIRE, RUBBER AND SHOE SOIL INDUSTRIES.

Slack wax is used in manufacturing press paraffin wax from which paraffin wax is manufactured.

SLACK WAX (SW) is by-product from solvent dewaxing process; provide a broad rang of melting points and physical and performance characteristics that are suitable for use in various product and process applications. A semi-refined wax, distinguished from scale wax by having generally higher oil content. Semi-refined slack waxes may have oil contents up to 30 mass percent. Slack waxes with oil content below 10 mass percent are used for manufacture of type II & type III paraffin wax. Slack wax is the crude wax produced by chilling and solvent filter-pressing wax distillate. There are basically three types of slack wax produced, the type depending on the viscosity of the lube oil being dewaxed: low neutral, medium neutral, and heavy neutral.
