About Us

Saber group has a history lasting over 60 years of business in India and United States. The roots start from the living legend Sh. Walaiti Lal Soin who migrated from Pakistan in 1947 (after division) and started trading in various items with base in North Indian business hub of Ludhiana.

A very hardcore working person who started with a mere INR 47 (about one US Dollar) in 1947. His four sons and two daughters kept the things moving and today his youngest son ( Mr. Dinesh Soin) and three grandsons ( Mr. Nitin Khanna, Mr. Karan Khanna, Mr. Abhishek Soin) are in the drivers seat taking the group to new heights.

The leaders today are very young with average age of about 35 years and all of them are well qualified, hardworking, highly ambitious and widely travelled. The group is involved in various business activities like manufacturing of Paper, Industrial Packaging and Software having its base in India and USA.

The paper capacity will reach 1,40,000 tons per annum by September 2009 and the converting capacity is 20,000 TPA. The main software company, Saber Corp USA was acquired by EDS USA in 2008 & the backend operations in India are still with the group. The group employs about 1000 people and the numbers are growing.

In 2009 the group extended its operation further by acquiring SQP Horgen Balsthal AG in Switzerland. This acquisition has enhanced group product portfolio by adding specialty products like: Soft tissues, Masking tape paper, Crepe paper, Cigarette filters. This acquisition has also enabled Saber to explore extended business opportunities in Europe.
