Sigma Mixer and Sigma Kneader

We offer pharmaceuticl chemical machinery such as sigma mixer and sigma kneader. The two mixing blades rotate toward each other at differential speeds inside a W-shaped trough. Each blade moves the material in opposite direction thereby providing excellent cross mixing of all raw materials. The blades pass the trough walls and each other at close clearances resulting in better mixing. The close clearance produces a shearing and tearing action that is beneficial to the size reduction of solids. This mixer is most suitable for highly viscous material and dough like masses. Selection of appropriate blade shape and speeds result in excellent mixing. On completion of the mix cycle, the trough of the mixer is tilted and the product is discharged.

Double Cone Blender

Double Cone Blender

Cyclone double cone blender is an efficient mixer for mixing dry powder and granulates homogeneously. All the contact parts are made of stainless steel. Two-thirds of the volume of the cone blender is filled to ensure proper mixing. It can be used for pharmaceutical, food, chemical and cosmetic applications.

Features:
  • The conical shape at both ends enable uniform mixing and easy discharge.
  • The cone is statically balanced to avoid any excessive load on the gear box and motor.
  • While the powder can be loaded into the cone through a wider opening, It can be discharged through a mucon valve or a slide valve.
  • Depending upon the product, paddle types baffles can be provided on the shaft for better mixing.
  • Maximum care has been taken ensure safe operation of he unit. It can also be operated by a timer.
  • The contact parts are made of SS 304 or 316.
  • Flame proof motor can be supplied as optional.

Ribbon Blenders

Ribbon Blenders

Ribbon blenders consist of a U-shaped horizontal trough and a specially designed and fabricated double helical ribbon shaft rotating within. A ribbon agitator consists of a set of inner and outer helical ribbons. The outer ribbons move the material from the ends to the center while the inner ribbons move the material from the center to ends. This counter-current action causes good blending. The ribbons rotate at approximately 100 meters per minute and move the materials both radially and laterally to insure thorough blends in short cycle times. Ribbon agitators are used for blends that will be between 40% and 100% of the rated capacity of the blender. The paddles are positioned to move materials in opposing lateral directions and radially. The paddle design is normally applied where friable materials are being blended and when batches as small as 25% of the total capacity are going to be mixed.

  • Ribbon design is suitable for dry mixing of free flowing powders requiring low shear force.
  • Paddle design for dry/wet mixing of dense products.
  • Ribbon design is appropriate for low and medium duty applications, while Paddle design is suitable for heavy duty applications.

  • Dry powder to wet phase mixing.

Cyclone rotating shell V-Blenders are used only for dry mixing. They are totally enclosed to prevent any foreign particles to enter into the chamber. Modifications such as the addition of baffles to increase mixing shear can be made to these type of blenders.
