The Physical and Chemical Properties of Sodium meta-silicate pentahydrate are the following:-

Its Chemical formula is Na2SiO3.5H2O and has a Molecular Weight of 284.2 g/mole. It has a white free flowing granular structure and is white in appearance and has no odor.

Its Boiling Point is 1117°C and has Freezing/Melting Point of 72°C; Density of1,749 g/cm3; Solubility in water is high and has a pH of Solution in Water (5 Wt %) of 11.5 to 13. Its NFPA Ratings for health is 3; while it remains inflammable and has nil Reactivity.

Its PARTICLE SIZE range between1,6 mm: 2.0% max 1.6 - 1.2mm: 5.0 - 25.0%, 1.2 - 1.0mm: 15.0 - 35.0% 1.0 - 0.5mm: 35.0 - 55.0% 0.5 - 0.2mm: 5.0 - 25.0 % < 0.2mm: 2.0% max.
