It is easily soluble in cold & hot water, soluble in dilute Sodium Hydroxide. It is also insoluble in alcohol, acids and has a pH of Solution in Water (5 Wt %) 11/13/11. Amongst the NFPA Ratings, for Health it is 3 and is both inflammable and non-reactive.
