SAI Industries and Associate companies are recognised as one of the leading manufacturers of copper, copper alloy and Bronzes-Semies for last more than three decades.

With moderate beginning in 1969 by experienced technocrats, SAI Industries have grown to manufacture full range of non-ferrous semies viz., Wires, Rods, Tubes, Flats/Strips, Profiles, Bus Bars, Bare Conductors, Commutator Sections, Con-Cast Products and Components hand in hand along with its following Associate companies:

• Sharp Wire India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai. (1996)

After our inception in 1969, in a very short span of 2 years SAI established its quality mark. It did import substitution in the field of thin wall tubes for automobile, electrical and electronic industries.

Once again in 1976, SAI established its quality mark in the field of development of copper commutator section manufacturing.

In 1989, SAI developed indigenously silver bearing copper.

Recently added to our field of development is manufacture of Tellurium Copper and Phosphor Bronze Tubes.

We have continuous casting machines to manufacture various copper base alloys in semis form.

For finishing of semis we have facilities as listed below:

• Cold rolling mills
• Flattening mills
• Rod breakdown blocks
• Wire drawing machines
• Superfine wire drawing machines
• Draw benches ranging from 5 tonnes to 25 tonnes.

Testing Facilities

We have full fledged testing equipments for chemical Analysis and physical testing of the various alloys and products we manufacture.

For physical testing we have facilities viz.,

Hardness testing equipment vickers type
Tensile testing machine
Hydraulic type of 10 tonnes capacity
Electrical conductivity meter
Metallurgical microscope with computer interface
Shadow graph for checking profiles

Chemical analysis is done by wet analysis as per IS or Specified standard.

We follow all quality norms and documentation required as per ISO 9000 standard.

Materials are manufactured confirming to IS/BS/ASTM/JIS/DIN specifications or customers own specifications.
