Applications
Our products are used for various operations such as: Peening Our round, whole bodied, hard, homogeneous and chemically balanced cut wire shots are used for peening process. They resist rapid change in size and weight to deliver constant intensity. We manufacture these shots from heat treated & cold drawn wires to insure fracture resistance. Our cut wire shots have media uniformity which maintains peening intensity and reduces cost. Tumbling Our pallets are used for tumbling and vibratory finishing. The cylindrical form of our pellets offer superior penetration into fillets or recessed areas so important in this work. Longer lengths are available where deep penetration is required. Where magnetic separation is desired, pellets of brass or type 316 stainless and zinc may be used. Sizes available range from wire diameters of .012 inches (.30mm) to .125 inches (3.17 mm) and lengths up to .5 inch (12.7 mm).
Cleaning
Cleaning Our whole bodied shots have no scale or oxides hence, they create no dust and leave the surface clean. They clean faster to give an exceptionally bright and smooth surface. Plating Filler Our pellets are used to "fill" in metal plating applications where the amount or volume of product to be plated is not sufficient enough in a bulk plating process. It is used to level up volume of parts in the bulk processing unit (barrel) where continual electrical current flow occurs, eliminating the potential for damage and/or insufficient plating thickness. Another benefit of the application is that it assists in keeping parts from "stacking" during the plating process, resulting in better plate thickness distribution.
