Bostik Esm Epoxy Screed Mortar System
Bostik esm is a solventless three component screed mortar based on epoxy resin technology.
Uses:
bostik esm is an expoxy screeding material ideally suited for floors and walls subjected to mechanical loading and chemical exposure. Its usage is recommended for all factories, like fertilizers, paper, textiles etc. , in food industries like beverages, sugar and confectionaries, in water treatment and sewage treatment plants etc. Bostik esm can be used as a flooring where high traffic is expected like highways, airportsetc.
Advantages:
• fastsetting. • very good strength properties. • local patch up can be done. • negligible shrinkage. • solvent free.
Application Instructions:
surface preparation :
concrete surface should be free from contaminants and dust by sandblasting. In case sand blasting is not possible, thorough abrading with a hard wire brush can be used, though it is not as efficient. Otherwise, acid etching using 1 part of hydrochloric acid with 2 parts of water can be carried out. The solution should be brush applied over the surface liberally and left in contact for 15 minutes. Then it is washed off with plenty of water followed by thorough drying with hot water. The pre-requisites for good adhesion of the coating are cleanliness, roughness and dryness of the surface. Unless these are ensured by proper surface preparation, a successful performance cannot be guaranteed. Apply thoroughly mixed primer e1 onto prepared substrate by brush roller. Mix thoroughly with slow speed stirrer, bostik esm, pre weighed base & hardener first and then add filler slowly. Continue to stir till uniform mix is attained. Spread mix mortar evenly on tacky primed surface for desired thickness by steel / wooden trowel. Wooden / steel reference guide can be used to maintain required thickness. Smoothen it up by pressing with steel trowel.

BOSTIK CCC Concrete Curing Compound
Bostik CCC is a wax based concrete curing compound which incorporates a special alkali reactive emulsion breaking system. This system ensures that the emulsion breaks down to form a non penertrating continuous film immediately upon contact with a cementitious surface. This imprevious film prevents excessive water evaporation, which in turn permits more efficient cement hydration, thus reducing shrinkage and incresing durability. Once formed, the membrane will remain on the concrete surface until eventually broken down or eroded by natural weathering. Where it is required to apply a further treatment to such concrete surface, it may be necessary to remove the membrane remaining after curing by wire brushing or other mechanical means. APPLICATION:Exposed concrete slabs : Bostik CCC should be spray applied on to the newly placed slab as soon as possible after it is free from visible surface water, may be 1 to 2 hours after placing. Shuttered and precast concrete : Bostik CCC should be spray applied to all surfaces as soon as formwork has been removed or the element demoulded. In all cases the nozzle of the spray should be held approximately 450mm from the concrete surface and should be passed back and forth to ensure complete and even coverage. The pump pressure should be maintained at a level to produce fine spray. USE:For curing concrete in all applications wherever required. Recommended areas of use include : - Pavements, Runways and bridge decks, Chimneys, vertical structures, air ports and ports
- Bridge roofdecks, retaining walls, columns, canal linings, dams etc.
- Precast piles and in all not-easily accessable areas of concreting
- Industrial floor slabs, parking and garages, terrazo floors, warehouses etc.
ADVANTAGES: - Avoids the need for 28 days conventional water curing using hassien, polythene etc.,
- Minimises risk of drying, shrinkage, cracks etc. at early age of concrete.
- Alows complete cement hydration.
- Easy to use and saves on labour costs.
- Free of any Chlorides and does not affect the setting time on concrete.
