About Us

I have imbibed Hand Embriodery since my childhood, following my mother, who also happens to be my embroidery teacher. The richness of culture, traditions as well as art invigorates me. I definitely want to pass on this skill to the next generation, hence Sameeksha School of Embroidery was born.

Embroidery has been my passion since I was a teenager. It's aesthetics, logic, the rhythm and the variety of it's patterns brings me immense pleasure. Establishing the Sameeksha School Of Embroidery has been more than a vehicle for the expression of my own creativity, it has provided a pathway to meet people with similar interest regardless of caste, creed and age

"Sameeksha" boutique was started with an intention to make Wearable and affordable clothes with minimal hand Embroidery. Due to Mall culture and mass production it is very difficult to dress individually. You would find every other person wearing the same label. The other extreme would be Haute Couture which every one can not afford!! Here at Sameeksha your own old/new clothes or sarees could get transformed into "New" -by embellishing with Hand Embroidery by women for today's women!!

Hand Embroidery takes a lot of time and effort; people need to be educated about that: It needs appreciation and encouragement to sustain as well. Hence Sameeksha -Boutique was born to popularise hand embroidery, especially thread embroidery which is diminishing in demand.
