APPLICATIONS
PROCESS OF MANUFACTURING GEARS
Sam Gears carries out a range of technical processes to give the best quality products.
  • Blanks:
    Blanks operation is carried out on CNC machines, T-Pilot and S-Pilot and Alfred Herbert Capstan Turret lathes.

  • Gear Cutting Section:
    This division is equipped with the latest high precision machines like Lease Brander Spline Hobbing, Lorenz and Sykes Gear Shapers, Vertical Broaching Machines and imported tooth rounder machines.

  • Heat Treatment and Metallurgy:
    This division has gas carburising with washing, quenching and tempering furnaces. All gears and shafts undergo heat treatment process and are checked for core hardness and micro structure, maintained within 58-62 HRC range.

  • Grinding:
    Grinding follows the heat treatment process. All the parts are given a finish on internal or cylindrical grinding done on sophisticated machines, procured from WMW and HMT.
