G.G. MAKE OPTICAL COMPARATOR IS A FINE MEASURMENT- COMPARISION EQUIPMENT USED FOR CHECKING LENGTH/ DIAMETER OF A COMPONENT USING A GAUGE BLOCK AS A STANDARD .
1.BASE : This is made of steel , fabricatd & powder coated.
Size 150 x 180 x 50 m.m. which is heavy & providesrigidity to the stand which holds OPTICAL unit .
2. STAND : This consists of double column slide with hardened , ground & lapped , chrome plated guide bar & linear motion bearings with height of 200 m.m.
To this vertical column optical comparator unit is attached.
This can be moved in vertical direction so that a component of with a height of 100 m.m. can be checked.
This stand is fixed to the base rigidly at right angles.
3 WORK BASE : A high chrome high carbon ,hardened , ground & lapped.Block is attached to the base at the centre , below Arm holding comparator unit , on which testing is done .
4. OPTICALUNIT : A precision dial unit probe is provided with the unit with a Least count of 0.002 m.m. , Range of +/- 0.25 m.m. This scale marked on a transluscent screen which receives the image .
5. ILLUMINATOR : A 6 v – 10 watts halogen bulb is used as a illumination source a 230 V to 6V step-down transformer is provided with unit.
6. COVER : Complete unit is provided with a cover .
