About UsSAMUDRA was established in 1995 as a network of 15 SHGs from Ganjam and Puri districts. The company was registered as a federation in 1996, and presently functions from the Katuru village in Ganjam district (Orissa, India). The achievements of the company can be attributed to the dedication and expertise Mrs. B. Chittiama (Advisor)an Mrs. M. Parvati (Secretary). Together, they have managed to create an organization that is the face of social change as well as commercial success. Right now, we are operating in 21 coastal blocks of 6 districts (Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak and Baleshwar) in Orissa. Objectiv Our objective is to empower traditional marine fisherwomen in all facets of life and to foster unity, peace, love and mutual concern among themselves. We are working energetically for this purpose and hope to increase as much awareness about this as possible. Strengt What separates us from others in the market is that while being totally committed to a social cause, we make use of the latest technology for fishing and preparing Fish Products. A strong distribution network ensures that we are able to cater to any requirement of the clients within the shortest possible time. |
