In the recent years, with energy issues being emphasized towards loading EDLC with a completely new application is considered.

Multilayer chip varistors(MLV) have good nonlinear voltage-current characteristics and high surge capability.
They also have fast-response characteristics on several hundred pico second level. They are very suitable and widely used for the problems of transient over-voltage protection caused by ESD(Electrostatic Discharge)

Large aluminum capacitors are classified in three types, snap-in type, lug type and screw type by terminal shape. Snap-in type is mainly used for power supply stage like PCB moun-ting. Lug type and screw type is used for industrial machine. Large capacitors are suitable for smoothness on power supply and inverter circuit.

Miniature aluminum electrolytic capacitors are small sized aluminum capacitors in lead wire type. The capacitance is lower than large alu-minum capacitors, but with the better impedance characteristic.

Various applications are possible with miniature capacitors in lead shape and auto insertion through taping method. The market trends reflect smaller size with lower internal resistance and lower impe-dance. Miniature capacitors are specifically fit for smoothing power supply and coupling and bypassing on circuits.

A Solid Capacitor is an electrolytic capacitor that uses solid electrolyte(TCNQ, Polythiophene, Polypyrrole, Polyaniline) with high conductivity as its electrolyte. Solid electrolyte application results in a high conductivity and low ESR at high frequency with very stable capacitance and ESR against temperature. High frequency SMPS, computer main board, graphic card, audio are major application examples.

SMD(V-chip type) Electrolytic Capacitors are designed for surface mounting on high density PCB(Printed Circuit Board).
SMD capacitors being essential elements in miniaturization of elec-tronic products, the getting-smaller trend is to deepen.

Mini-notebook computers, CD-ROM, and LCD monitors are few ex-amples of SMD capacitor applications.

Ceramic capacitors with maximum capacity can be applied at high frequency despite their small sizes. A DCC at any capacity as fun-ctions of temperature and dielectric constant can be produced and inserted automatically on a PCB. A MLCC, a chip type ceramic capacitor, consists of multi-layered dielectric and electrode. MLCCs are categorized by the capacitance and working voltage.

EMI Filters are dependent devices and broadly applied to protect electronic equipment against the EMI(electromagnetic interference).

Magnetic Powder Coresare distributed air gap cores made from ferrous alloy powders for low losses at high frequencies. Small air gaps distributed evenly throughout the cores increase the amount of DC that can be passed through the winding before core saturation occurs. MPC products include Sendust, Freperm and Lowperm which are composed of different metal alloy.
