• Mr. Jain obtained B Sc Engg (Mech) degree in 1967 from Dayal Bagh Engineering College Agra affiliated to Agra University, U.P (India). He has worked as a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering College for five years from august 1967 to July 1972 in Dayal Bagh Engineering College Agra (India) and taught to under graduate engineering students.

• During the teaching period, Mr. Jain attended three sequential summer schools, each of six weeks in IIT Kanpur for advance studies under quality improvement programme scheme. Owing to his excellent performance in the sequential summer schools, he got one year exception in two years M Tech (Mech) course. In July 1973, he completed the master degree in mechanical engineering specializing in fluid mechanics from IIT Kanpur.

• In august 1973, he joined the country’s leading architect’s firm M/s Joseph Allen Stein and Associates (presently known as M/s Stein Doshi & Bhalla Architects) at 5-sundar nager, New Delhi 110 003 (India) as senior mechanical engineer.

• In July 1979, he went to Saudi Arabia & joined one of the leading Architect’s firm M/s Consulting Architectural Corporation (CAC) presently known as M/s Jamjoom Consultants, Post Box No 6285, Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). During his stay with CAC, Jeddah for about five years (1979-1984), he had the opportunity of designing and administration of implementation of complete mechanical services (such as HVAC, plumbing/sanitary, fire fighting, medical gas piping, industrial piping, solar heating, steam supply systems & compressed air piping) for various prestigious projects.

• He has made official trips to UK and Italy for various projects meetings, discussions at design, development and execution stage with various international clients, architects, consultants and contractors. During this period, he also became the member of ASHRAE on 31^st August 1980 (American Society of Heating Refrigeration & Air-conditioning Engineers) & CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers), London.

• In March 1984, he came back to India and in April 1984 started his independent consultancy practice with office in GK-II South Delhi (India) under the name & style of “Sanelac Consultants” as proprietary firm.

• Due to a positive responsive in a short time, the company gained the status as Pvt Ltd & registered in the month of august 1986 as “Sanelac Consultants Private Limited” with the registrar of companies (Delhi & Haryana) with head office in Delhi. Mr. S P Jain became the managing director of the company & branches in Bangalore (1986), Pune (2001) & Mumbai (2006). However, the Bangalore office was closed in 2006.

ARTICLES/LECTURES:

• Mr. Jain wrote an article on “Building Services Design Considerations in Hospital Buildings” during Medical Architecture Workshop 2002 on 15-17^th March 2002 at Hotel Maurya Sheraton New Delhi which was organized by Indian Institute of Architects & sponsored by WHO.

• He also wrote on “Building Services Design Considerations in various Buildings” presented in Lucknow, Faridabad & Noida which was organized by Local Indian Institute of Architects, India.

• An another article on “MEP Design Considerations in Buildings Segments” was presented by Mr. Jain in CPWD Institute, which was organized by CPWD.
