Antiperspirant Deodorants This is a subgroup of deodorants which tries to significantly reduce perspiration and thus create an unfavorable condition for the bacteria to thrive. Most commonly used antiperspirants are aluminum-based complexes. These complexes react with electrolytes and block the sweat glands. This reduces the amount of sweat produced, though this may vary from person to person.
