Choosing the proper wire for your EDM application is crucial to success of the cut. EDM wire is the "Cutting Tool" and there is not one wire for every job out there. Hence we manufacture three types of EDM wires :

To Keep EDM wires generating stable discharging as an electrode for precision machines it requires pure raw material, high quality casting technique, accurate diameter control and wire surface treatment to eliminate surface defects. The surface peeling off leads to abnormal discharge conditions.

Saru EDM wires  is also offers as Swift EDM wires for high speed machines. These wires are also coated and diffused. The brass wire is zinc coated on the surface and heat treated. This melts the zinc coating and zinc is embedded ( diffused) on the surface of the brass, forming a copper - zinc layer which is rich in zinc. This gives extra strength to the ordinary EDM wire reducing the wire breakage and increasing the cutting spread substantially.

Brass wires are softer than steel wires or stainless steel wires and offers a brushing action that will not scratch harder metals. Our brass wire is Alloy 260, composed of 70% Copper and 30% Zinc. If your work-piece is either brass or copper, then brass wire is the most suitable choice. Brass wire (as well as bronze wire) will not generate sparks when struck against other metallic surfaces, and is suitable for hazardous environments (1). Brass wires are also an excellent conductor of electrical energy (28% IACS) and are suitable for static reduction applications when incorporated into a brass wire strip brush. Brass is appropriate for operating environments up to 300°F constant temperature. Brass wire is also relatively corrosion resistant.
