About UsIncorporated in 1962, we pioneered the Starter Industry in India, being the first to manufacture, and sell starters of pinch type in India, and we have grown from that point.
In 1974, we created Univac Corporation, being one of the first export units in KFTZ (Kandla Free Trade Zone), which currently is called KSEZ (Kandla Special Economic Zone).
We have taken several steps along backward and forward integration of the company, manufacturing GLS lamps, Neon Indicator Lamps, Flicker Lamps, and several other incandescent lamps.
We further developed into the starter industry by manufacturing luminaries and establishing a secure base by making both open and box type magnetic ballasts, in both aluminum and copper type, and established a reputation for our quality in the above mentioned products. In 1994, Satellite makes a public issue of its shares, and revamps and modernizes manufacturing facilities for capacitor plants, starters, plastic injection molding machines, and aluminum/brass contact pins. In 1996, Univac Corporation obtains ISO 9001/2000 Certification and BSI Kitemark Licensing (BSEN 60155) for fluorescent tube starters, gaining a KM 34000.
In 1968, started ISI quality mark starters in India, and have established boundaries of growth in Gandhidham, as well as Ahmedabad.<
