Sri Durga Perfumery Works was established in the year 1963, by S. Padmanabha in Bangalore. It was founded with the intention of the management team to make traditional, hand-rolled, superior quality incense sticks for the benefit of the larger public. India being a country rooted very much in its traditions and culture, has been at the forefront of innovations in the use of incense sticks. This background propelled the founding members to set up Sri Durga Perfumery Works. With over 50 full-time employees in the organization, SDPW is in an apt position to grow to the next level of customer service.

Creation
Process Incense Sticks created at Sri Durga Perfumery Works have a distinct mark of quality and essence in them. An incense stick is a natural product of fragrance when lit. The product that acts as a base is bamboo; with the top coating over the stick being a blend of aromatic herbs derived from pure and fresh nature. Each of the raw materials sourced goes through a rigorous process to ensure best fragrance and support. The core of the fragrance preparation has remained a tightly guarded family secret; which makes the incense sticks unique in the world. The incense sticks, after being rolled are left to dry in the sun, which gives them the familiar solid nature.
Quality Assurance SDPW has ensured over the long years of existence that its quality is never affected. The product reaching the end customer is always the best, with the satisfaction levels being very high. Raw Materials SDPW has made strategic alliances with the leading raw material providers across the city and state to guarantee the customer of high satisfaction. The company pays extra attention to the fact that no synthetic materials are used in the manufacture of the incense sticks. All raw materials including the bamboo base to the fragrance essences are procured from trusted vendors; with relationships built over decades of mutual success. The employees are trained to test the material for any flaws before they are put to use in the manufacturing. With the benefit of making all incense sticks manually; there is never a possibility of lower grade material being used.
Fragrances, Binders & Supports The fragrances used by SDPW are the result of a dedicated passion, quality processes and focused processes. SDPW uses ‘Jigat’ for binding purposes. Jigat has been proved very effective in a variety of situations. Bamboo sticks and charcoal are used as supports in the incense sticks.
Aesthetic Branding SDPW believes that excellent products should come in excellent packaging. The packaging should communicate to the end user the specific benefits of the particular product and fragrance. The enhanced packaging design with a sense of taste for the finer qualities of life, presents SDPW products in a unique manner. New SDPW Factory SDPW, in its efforts to offer better products and better services to its customers, has established a new factory Bidadi, near Bangalore. Bidadi is the industrial hub of Bangalore and Karnataka state, being home to many large organizations and companies. This new location helps SDPW to scale up its projects, thus enhancing its reach to many more customers. This new facility also fits into the company’s larger plans of taking the business to the next level. With employee strength of 50, the company now boasts of a dedicated workforce ready with all infrastructures to serve all the customers’ fragrance needs.
