Zebra manufactures two basic types of lashing systems, which are each available in either two part or endless configurations, with a wide variety of different end terminals.
Cambuckle Compact and light in weight, Cambuckle lashings are ideal for securing light loads, the tension being applied by pulling the lashing hand tight. The Lashing release mechanism operates by depressing the thumb bar. No pre-tensioning of the webbing is possible. Cambuckle lashings are available in a range of Minimum Break Strengths from 250 to 1000 kg.
Ratchet Systems For medium to heavy duty applications, Zebra offers a very wide variety of Ratchet Lashings Systems in Minimum Break Strengths ranging from 500 to 8000 kg. 25mm, 35mm, 50mm and 75mm webbing widths are available depending upon the loading requirements of the selected Lashing system.Within the range are many different types of Ratchet systems, all carefully designed and engineered to exert the right amount of pre-tensioning to the lashing
Zebra has set the industry standard for the lowering-in Belt with ten years of continuous improvement.
The lowering-in belt system consist of two parts
The steel head iron (hook iron, lifting iron or bail).
The sling fabric.
The sling fabric is woven from high tenacity polyester yarn.
The steel belt end and the head irons are designed for ease of use, quick and easy coupling and uncoupling.
The lowering-in belt sling system is designed for long and durable life and is conservatively rated with a safety factor of 5:1. These figures are given on the data sheet overleaf. A certificate to this effect for individual belts and head irons can be provided on request. Hooks are stamped with the safe working load. All sling fabrics have a tag or plate with the safe working load.
Manufactured from duplex polyester webbing slings joined together to be used with heavy duty steel terminals.
High load capacity for lowering pipes.
High safety, low elasticity and resistant to ultra-violet rays.
Simple on-site belt replacement in minutes with advanced terminal design.
Economical in use due to long working life.
Extra heavy duty lowering belt can be supplied on request.
Webbing or Round slings depending on applications.
Length of legs to order.
Special Webbing/Chain combinations to order.
Anti-abrasion protection available.
Anti-cutting protection available.
High strength to weight ratio.
Color code for positive identification, even when soiled.
Only hooks and link are metal components.
Conform fully to B. S. 3481 Part 2 B. S. 6668 Part 2 and the European Standard Draft pr.EN 1492-1 and 1492-2.
General Description
Zebra Multi-Leg Slings are manufactured using either Round slings or Duplex Webbing Slings, depending upon the type and the Safe Working Load. Hooks, master links and auxiliary links are manufactured from quenched and tempered alloy steel. Duplex Slings are stitched directly onto the metal components, Round slings being attached via auxiliary links. All Round slings are fitted with protective slaving and anti-abrasion or anti-cutting protection can also be specified as required. Please note that further information on the general performance, specification, safety in use and maintenance of these products is covered in more detail in the sections on Round slings or Webbing Slings
Safe Working Load Angles
The Safe Working Load values quoted in the tables have been rated using the uniform load method for a maximum angle for each leg of 45 degrees from the vertical, as shown in the diagrams. Slings may be rated at greater angles if required, please consult Zebra for further details. The textile elements of these Slings have a minimum safety factor of 7:1 and the metal elements a safety factor of 4:1. All slings are serialized and issued with a test certificate.
Lifts smooth and fragile objects without risk of damage
High strength to weight ratio
Colour coded for identification even when soiled
Wide variety of lifting modes
Anti-abrasion webbing sheave (AAWS) protection available
Anti-cutting Sobitex polyurethane sleeves to protect your webbing slings from extra sharp edges
Conforms to B. S. 3481 Part 2
Zebra flat webbing slings are manufactured from high tenacity, 100% polyester yarn. Simplex slings is a single layered webbing. Sling ends are terminated either in reinforced loops or any combination of metal end fittings. Manufacturer’s test certificate is provided for safe work load along with the slings. Simplex slings are preferred because of their broad width which gives wider support to lifts. The slings are of three types, namely simplex sling with soft eyes, simplex sling with } metal end fitting and endless sling. They normally lift loads with the sling revved around the load (Choke hitch), or on two parts of the sling (Basket Hitch). They are tested in straight pull.

Zebra flat webbing slings are manufactured from high tenacity, 100% polyester yarn. Triplex slings are stitched with three layers of webbing throughout their length. Sling ends are terminated either in reinforced loops or any combination of metal end fittings. Manufacturer's test certificate is provided for safe work load along with the slings.
